About Us
(GRMF) was founded in 2001 by Lionel P. Martin and Ginette R. Martin resulting from their belief that we as a community need to work every day to give children and families a healthy beginning and a second chance in life with the opportunity to grow and learn to be resourceful. They believed that children are shaped and colored by “the fruit of the spirit:” love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22, 23). GRMF support the social and mental development well being of children and families by applying these beliefs in our approach to youth behavior-based and afterschool.

Get to Know Us

Founded on February 15, 2001, GRMF has transformed from a childcare organization that has served the people of Highlands County for over 20 years to now, an organization dedicated to helping, and uplifting at-risk youth in central Florida. GRMF is determined and dedicated to uplift and empower underprivilege and underserved youths and to eradicate Florida’s School-to-Prison Pipeline in Osceola, Polk, Hardee, Broward and Highlands Counties. GRMF is a haven for at-risk youth ages years old in those counties and provides resources and opportunities for participants to grow, rehabilitate and develop healthy resourceful minds.

We provide youth with consistent guidance and support through our Mentorship and After-School Programs, connecting them with caring mentors, certified teachers, tutors, and behavioral specialists who are dedicated to their growth and success. Whether one-on-one or in group settings, students receive personalized academic assistance, emotional support, and character development opportunities designed to help them thrive both in and out of school. Our programs work hand-in-hand to create a safe, nurturing environment where youth can build confidence, strengthen their minds, and develop the skills needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are proud of our past but very excited for our future and the future of our youths. GRMF welcomes everyone as we stand on the verge of providing opportunity, rehabilitation and hope to our young people as always stand on our core concepts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We are working to continue the mission of Lionel P. Martin and Ginette R. Martin as they envisioned a better world for at-risk youth.
